Fitting the L99/6L80E Drive Train

The time has come to fit the drive train to the chassis for the last time. After reinstalling all of the suspension components, redoing all of the brakes, fixing the axles, and handling the fuel tank the frame was ready to receive its new power plant. Well, it went great! The AEV Tummy Tucker skid plate needed a chunk cut out to let the 6L80E transmission fit. I was able to reuse the AEV Nth Degree rubber transmission mounts along with some pieces of scrap steel to serve as the rear drive train mount. Once the body was lowered into place there was a surprising amount of clearance around the transmission and transfer case in this setup.
